Fremont Street: Perhaps the Time's Square of Las Vegas, this street features nearly as many lights and sucks about 540,000 watts of power just to operate. Of course, nighttime is the best time of day to stroll this street, which also offers tons of stores and eateries and lots of other nightly events and goings-on. Make sure you add this street to your list of must-see places as it is just dazzling.
Circus Circus Adventuredome Theme Park: One of the coolest places that you can check out when you are on the strip. This fully-featured amusement park is one of the largest indoor amusement parks in the world; this place is just awesome. It is adorned with tons of rides and vendors, and enough activities to keep you entertained for hours, or to keep the kiddies entertained while the adults gamble and play.
Lion Habitat at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino: Don't forget to check out this breathtaking lion habitat which houses some of nature's fiercest carnivores. The habitat that they live in consists of several levels and you can usually see lion cubs getting pampered by their parents depending upon the time of year that you travel to Las Vegas.
Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat: Most locals really consider this to be the official zoo of the city because you can see all sorts of wild animals here, not just the dolphins. However, if you truly want an experience that is comparable to Sea World when you travel to Las Vegas, this is the place to stop and visit. Set aside a few hours, because you won't want to leave anytime soon.
Shark Reef: Perhaps one of the largest aquariums in the continental United States, Shark Reef, houses some fantastic sea creatures in a self-contained, million plus gallon water park. Displays that you shouldn't miss while you are here include: blue sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, eels and jellyfish. The displays are elegantly lit using black lights, and it costs about twenty bucks per adult and fifteen dollars per child; the best money you could ever spend for a must-see Las Vegas tourist attraction.
Las Vegas Motor Speedway: Home to many famous races, this park is a one-of-kind racing center that quite frequently will hosts races of all kinds. If you are NASCAR fan, or a fan of any kind of racing in general, make sure that you check out what their schedule of events looks like for the dates that you plan on being in Las Vegas - who knows, maybe you can catch a race.
Gondola Rides at the Venetian: This place is not just an amazing casino and hotel, they have fashioned the entire resort after Italy, and it almost feels like you are Europe when you are staying here. This is why these realistic Gondola rides, which take you down nearly identical Venetian waterways, are not only romantic but also invigorating. A must-do if you can find the time while on the Strip.
Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area: If you happen to want to actually do something that is not related to the Strip, this is the place to go. Natural rock formations made from Red Rock and created by Mother Nature are just exquisite and exceptional to the eye. Make sure to bring water and to wear sunscreen during the summer months, because this place gets smoking hot.
Candlelight Wedding Chapel: For all of those couples that want to tie the knot overnight when in Sin City, this is the place to go. It's your classic white chapel with a white steeple. You can almost instantly get a marriage license in this church that has been performing on the spot weddings since the early 1960s. Some fairly famous celebrities have been married here over the years as well.
