Beaches: Nassau is known for its beautiful beaches. There are a number of great beaches where the whole family can sunbathe and go swimming. You can also go boating, fishing, snorkeling, or scuba diving, among other things.

Cruises: There are also a number of fun themed cruises that last a few hours. For example, you can go on a dinner cruise or a sightseeing cruise. Many people also enjoy going on glass bottom boats where you can see fish through the bottom of the boat.

Ardastra Gardens Zoo: If you want to get out of the sun and away from the beach, there are options for that too. One of the most popular Nassau destinations is Ardastra Gardens Zoo. It is both a five acre zoo and a botanical garden. Make sure to look for the marching flamingos and the parrot feeding.

Blue Lagoon: Blue Lagoon Island is a small, secluded island that takes about 45 minutes to get to by ferry. It is beautiful and relaxing. You can swim, snorkel, or just lounge in one of their large hammocks. There's even a place where you can feed the sting rays.

Straw Market: You should also visit the Straw Market in Nassau. The Straw Market got its name from the vendors that make designs in straw baskets and sell them. There are also a lot of souvenirs for sale, so if you want to get something to remind you of your trip to Nassau, this is the best place to go.

History: If you want to learn more about Nassau's history, you should go see the Queen's Staircase, Fort Fincastle and the water tower. They are further away from the center of town, but definitely worth the effort. There are plenty of opportunities to take pictures and read about the history behind these buildings.

Cloisters: You can also visit The Versailles Gardens and Cloisters. This Augustinian cloister was initially in France, but was bought by William Randolph Hearst. It was broken down into pieces and shipped to Nassau, but no instructions were given on how to put it back together. They have done so to the best of their ability, but the architecture is still unique.

Bay Street: If you want to get great deals on designer clothes, Bay Street is the place to go. This area often will have live music, such as steel drums to entertain shoppers. This is the place to get great deals on luxury goods that would be much more expensive at home as well as get high quality hand crafted local goods.

There are so many other things to do in Nassau. It is a beautiful place to visit and has a very rich history. The beaches are pristine and there is a lot to see and do.
