Osaka: The third largest city in Japan, Osaka attracts tourists with the chance to walk through a real castle? Mount Fuji: Located in central Japan is this island nation’s tallest and most beautiful mountain, Mount Fuji. Artist and poets have long been inspired by the sight of this mountain in the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National park.
Hiroshima: Over 60 years ago a good portion of the city was destroyed by an atomic bomb. Today the Atom Bomb Dome is situated at the epicenter of the explosion once the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Narita: Shinshoji Buddhist temple, built in the year 940, is a great place to start your tour of Japan. Located near Narita International airport, which will most likely be your arrival point, this is one of the most historic and popular sights in Japan.
Hokkaido: Akan National Park, on the island of Hokkaido, is a natural paradise. Waterfalls, volcanoes, hot springs, wildlife, and even a lake of boiling mud make this a magnificent destination.
Fukuoka: If you are interested in shopping, look no further than Canal City. This enormous shopping and entertainment complex offers numerous shops with every imaginable type of merchandise. Feel free to haggle to your heart’s content.
Nara: Horyuji Temple, the oldest temple complex in Japan. It has been completely preserved in its original architectural style (between the years of 552 and 645). It also houses a variety of ancient art works, which tell a brilliant story of Japan’s history.
Yae-yama Islands: This archepeligo, which is part of Okinawa, features Iriomote National Park. Spectacular coral reefs, marine life, and a primeval forest make this destination ideal. If you enjoy a great beach, try Haemida on the southern coast of the island.
